HS Codes for Electronics

Full reference table for laptops, smartphones, headphones, TVs, chargers, and 26 more electronics categories — including US MFN duty rates and Section 301 surcharges for China-origin goods.

Most electronics have 0% MFN under the ITA, but China-origin goods can add 7.5–25% Section 301 tariffs. Always check both rates.

Section 301 Tariffs on Electronics

The WTO Information Technology Agreement (ITA) eliminates MFN tariffs on most electronics — laptops, smartphones, semiconductors, and computers all import at 0% from any country. However, Section 301 is a separate trade remedy that applies only to goods of Chinese origin.

Section 301 List 3 covers most consumer electronics accessories (headphones, speakers, chargers, power banks, cables, smart TVs) at 7.5%. List 4A covers drones, LED lights, cables, and some accessories at 25%.

In 2024, the USTR raised Section 301 rates on specific electronics categories. Always verify the current rate for your specific 10-digit HTS subheading before clearing customs, especially for accessories and peripherals.
